The Last Picture

Author: admin  //  Category: Picture Slideshows

Years are said to be crazy… funny, weird and cool… as it run fast, we are not aware of seeing the rear view of a simple portrait, full of mysteries and yet the source of our emotions to change the mode of light’s direction.

From our younger years, we are certainly aggressive of doing any thing, or just make a simple obsession that concludes the very best of being a kid. We were not aware of what will happen tomorrow since we care nothing from our context. If there’s an obstruction that hit our back, we just do a single laugh. That’s the trend of being a kid… “Parang hindi na tayo tatanda”.

We have tried to read the unfamiliar phrases on the walls; this is the time when we started to recognize the characters written in every single page of the book. There’s always a second time around when we experienced the first. And the funniest side was…we do counting the numbers in a jump to jump, we were passionate of these things without knowing what is EVEN and what ODD are. But when the times move fast, these numbers are very simple to divide. You can consistently justify what kind of environment do a kid has, “parang laging required gawin ang mga bagay sa simula”. But honestly, we were excited during our younger years because these were the times that we were about to discover the faces of road’s infinity…

All are just typical illustrations of childhood, we were doing the same thing as usual “paulit-ulit na lang” and yet, we were not bored doing the same thing all over again. There’s always an evolution. Every second of a minute and every minute of an hour are known to have a constant change, an innovation for the time, “ang simula ng larawan ng totoong buhay” the PICTURE starts to smile, the picture starts to develop and the pictures starts to divulge real life.

We were dumbfounded that we were more active against other kids. Our first education starts on uncomplicated, “naisip na rin natin kung bakit tayo nag-iisip”. The development of our credibility starts and soon we speculate why being a kid should need to have it understand, it’s simply saying the letters A, B and C and counting the numbers 1, 2 and 3. “Ganito kasaya talaga ang kabataan, alam na natin kung anong larawan ang maaari nating makuhanan”.

Graduation starts after six years, some of us had achieved awards, we start choosing the best secondary school we are about to get in. We won’t ignore the friendship we had from those remarkable years, we treasure the opportunity of having both good and bad times “sa mga kalaro natin noong bata pa tayo”, we have hurt, and we cried and promised not to forget the valuable affiliation during the first developing years of being a human.

Picture With Your Words

Depending on what you sell, it is not always easy to get your point across, so it is very important to paint a picture with your words to give your customer a visual of your product, or a visual of themselves using your product.

When you are meeting someone face to face, and you can show them your product up close, it is easy for them to get a visual because they are looking at it with their own eye’s, and they can hold it in their own hands.

But seeing and feeling the product is not enough. You want your customers to see themselves using your product. You want to give them the visual of being in action with the product.

For instance, the last time I was on the market for a car, I went to a local dealership looking to test drive some jeeps.

The salesman showed me the jeeps he had on sale, and he even let me test drive a few of them.

Not only did he go over all of the wonderful features the jeep had to offer, such as the CD player, the electric windows, and the heated seats. He also said to me; Can’t you picture yourself cruising through the mountains with the sun setting behind you, and a cool breeze flowing through the open cabin as you play all of your favorite Cd’s?

The visual of me cruising up into the mountains in my new jeep with mother nature in all of her glory was all I needed to picture in my mind, and I was sold.

Well, I still have that jeep, and I enjoy it just as much today as I did the day I bought it. However, I have yet to experience anything as serenely as I had visualized the day I test drove it for the first time.

But the salesman’s technique worked. I bought the jeep.

If I were selling baseball bats, I would give my customers the visual of hitting a home run in the bottom of the ninth too win the game with the exact bat they were holding in their hand.

I could sit here all day coming up with scenarios to get my point across, but I think you get the picture.

So the next time you sell a product, paint a picture. Put a visual in your customer’s head of them using the product in a positive light. It will make a world of difference.

Do Blogs Need Pictures?

One question that commonly pops up is “Do you really need a picture for a blog?” The answer is no. Imagery is there to enhance your content. Above all the purpose of including an image with your blog should not be to make up for weak content.

Pictures are also more appropriate for certain types of blogs rather than others. For instance a blog about modern art or architecture might require pictures more than a blog about the latest computer chip would.

However there is no reason why the occasional picture can’t be used to augment your writing even if you are using a blog to sell a very dry product such as computer software. The true purpose of an illustration or photograph is to enhance your blog, not detract from it. If the image enhances the point you want to make or is even a well-attuned metaphor for what you are trying to say, then by all means use it.

One problem is that some blog templates are not that friendly when it comes to uploading pictures. In this case it is possible to have the image open in a separate web page so it does not interfere with the layout of your blog. This also gives your reader the choice of whether they want to bother looking at the image or not.

One design rule regarding images is to keep them all the same size. There is nothing that messes up the look of a well designed blog more than having differently sized photographs scattered all over the page. Another problem that you may likely encounter when uploading images onto a blog template is the issue of having to fit the image into a predetermined size. This can mean the image is squished, elongated or stretched laterally. If this is a problem, then don’t bother uploading an image at all.
